It hurts seeing Bryan kissing someone else.
No matter how much Will had convinced himself that he was ready for this, apparently he isn’t. It’s Bryan’s birthday, and he’s only there to drop off a present. Their break-up had been amicable and they’d stayed friends, so Will hadn’t hesitated to say ‘yes’ when Bryan had invited him to the party.
But as he stands there at the top of the staircase looking down on Bryan and his new boyfriend, Will can’t help but feel a twinge in his chest. Before he knows it, his eyes are brimming with tears and he knows he has to get out of there before he’s seen.
He barely makes it out of the door as the tears begin to fall.
